Altcoin Surges 33% Following Unexpected Backing from South Korea’s Biggest Crypto Exchange

Wormhole Altcoin Soars After Upbit Announces Support: Cross-Chain Protocol Gains 32%

The altcoin of the cross-chain protocol Wormhole (W) has seen a significant surge in value following the announcement of support for trading on Korea’s largest crypto exchange, Upbit. The price of Wormhole has skyrocketed from $0.28 to $0.37, marking a more than 32% increase in just 24 hours.

With a market cap of $959.7 million, Wormhole has now become the 82nd largest crypto project in the market. The protocol aims to facilitate the efficient transfer of liquidity and data across various blockchains, making it a valuable asset in the crypto space.

Launched in 2020 by Jump Crypto with support from the Solana Foundation, Wormhole initially focused on bridging Solana and Ethereum before expanding to other blockchains. The project has since evolved into a platform of products that power an entire ecosystem of multichain applications.

In April, major crypto exchanges such as Binance, OKX, Bitget, Backpack, and WOO X announced their support for Wormhole, further boosting its popularity and value in the market. The project website reveals that there is a maximum supply of 10 billion tokens, with an initial circulating supply of 1.8 billion.

Investors and traders are advised to do their due diligence before making any high-risk investments in Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, or digital assets. The surge in Wormhole’s value serves as a reminder of the volatile nature of the crypto market, where prices can fluctuate rapidly based on various factors.
