Donald Trump and J.D. Vance team up to form a pro-crypto presidential ticket

Trump Chooses J.D. Vance as VP Running Mate: The Crypto Candidates

The Claman Countdown panelists, Sam Brownback and Dennis Kucinich, had strong reactions to former President Trump’s special announcement at the RNC. Trump revealed via his Truth Social platform that he has chosen Ohio Senator and former tech venture capitalist J.D. Vance as his vice presidential running mate.

Described as the “crypto candidates,” Trump praised Vance for his successful business career in technology and finance, as well as his advocacy for American workers. Vance, who has been a vocal supporter of digital asset innovation, brings his own crypto street cred to the presidential race. He has introduced and voted in favor of pro-crypto legislation, holds Bitcoin, and has criticized SEC chair Gary Gensler’s regulatory crackdown on digital assets.

Vance, a best-selling author and former Marine, is the first millennial to be on a major party’s presidential ticket. He has been endorsed by Trump for Ohio’s senate seat and has been a strong advocate for the crypto industry. Vance has introduced bills to prevent federal banking regulators from blocking industries like crypto firms from accessing banking services.

With Trump and Vance on the ticket, supporters of the $2 trillion crypto industry are hopeful that anti-crypto lawmakers like Senator Elizabeth Warren will face opposition. Trump is set to speak at the largest Bitcoin conference in Nashville, where he will outline his plans for blockchain technology and digital assets. His advisor on crypto, Vivek Ramaswamy, will also be speaking at the event.

The announcement of Vance as Trump’s running mate has sparked excitement among supporters of digital assets and blockchain technology. The upcoming election promises to be a battleground for the future of crypto regulation in the United States.
