Pixelverse Launches PIXFI Token on TON, Major Exchanges Set to List at 12pm UTC

Pixelverse, the project behind the popular Telegram game PixelTap, is set to launch its PIXFI token on The Open Network (TON) on Thursday, July 18. The announcement was made on Monday, with the project tweeting that “major centralized exchanges” will list the token at 12pm UTC.

The launch of the PIXFI token comes at a time when there is a growing demand for Telegram-based games. Following the success of Notcoin, which attracted 35 million players earlier this year and had the largest gaming token launch in May, other games on the messaging platform have been gaining traction. Pixelverse alone attracted 50 million new players in June.

While other games on Telegram have announced plans to launch their tokens on TON, such as Hamster Kombat and TapSwap, Pixelverse is taking the lead by getting their token out sooner rather than later. Kori Leon, co-founder of Pixelverse, stated that they are the first to launch a token in the Telegram ecosystem since Notcoin, and that the market is showing signs of recovery.

Pixelverse recently raised $7.5 million in supplemental funding from Galaxy and other investors, following a $5.5 million raise in June. With the success of PixelTap and the anticipation surrounding the PIXFI token launch, the project is poised to make a significant impact in the Telegram gaming space.
