Streamlining Financial Transactions: Ether.fi Partners with MoonPay for Enhanced User Experience
Ether.fi Partners with MoonPay to Streamline Crypto Transactions
October 10, 2023 — In a significant move aimed at simplifying the user experience in the crypto space, ether.fi has announced a partnership with MoonPay to integrate a suite of financial services designed to reduce the complexity of funding, moving, and withdrawing money within its platform. This collaboration promises to enhance user convenience by allowing identity verification to be completed just once, enabling seamless access to multiple supported products while adhering to local regulations.
The integration will feature MoonPay’s Headless Ramps, which will provide embedded fiat onramps and offramps directly within the ether.fi interface. This means users can conduct transactions without being redirected to external sites, streamlining the process of buying and selling cryptocurrencies. Additionally, MoonPay Trade will facilitate cross-chain routing and crypto conversions, all within the ether.fi app.
As part of this partnership, ether.fi users will gain access to virtual accounts complete with account and routing details through MoonPay Enterprise. This will support a variety of payment methods, including ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT, Faster Payments, and SEPA. Furthermore, users will be able to deposit assets from external wallets or exchanges, which will then be converted into their ether.fi balance, enhancing liquidity and accessibility.
This expansion marks a pivotal shift for ether.fi, which has evolved from its roots as an Ethereum liquid staking protocol into a broader platform offering payments and consumer financial products. Recent data from Paymentscan reveals that ether.fi’s card processed an impressive $123.7 million in spending during September alone, spanning 1.5 million transactions and over 48,000 active addresses. This is a remarkable increase compared to $24.1 million in September 2025.
Since its launch in April 2025, the ether.fi card has accumulated approximately $918 million in cumulative spending across 11.6 million transactions and 113,000 addresses, underscoring its rapid growth and adoption in the market.
“The bar for ether.fi isn’t other crypto products,” said Rok Kopp, co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of ether.fi. “It’s whatever banking app a user opens every morning.” This sentiment reflects the company’s ambition to compete directly with traditional banking applications by offering a user-friendly and efficient alternative.
Importantly, the partnership maintains ether.fi’s self-custodial model, allowing users to retain control of their wallet keys. MoonPay will manage payments and compliance at the critical junctures where funds transition between traditional banking systems and the crypto realm.
“The platforms that win will be the ones that make money move simply,” stated Ivan Soto-Wright, CEO and founder of MoonPay, highlighting the shared vision of both companies to simplify financial transactions for users.
As ether.fi continues to innovate and expand its offerings, this partnership with MoonPay is poised to redefine the user experience in the crypto landscape, making it easier than ever for individuals to engage with digital assets.
