The Lava Network Project: Crypto Airdrop of Governance Token LAVA Launching Tomorrow
The Lava Network project is set to launch the crypto airdrop of its governance token LAVA tomorrow, as reported in an email to The Cryptonomist. This new cryptocurrency can be staked by validators and providers, as well as token holders, to fuel a modular data network.
Lava Network, founded in 2022, provides access to over 30 blockchains through its fast and reliable RPC nodes. The project has already served over 40 billion RPC requests, with an average of 2 billion daily calls. RPC, or Remote Procedure Call, is the interface used by users to interact with web3 applications and blockchain networks.
The project aims to offer more effective and competitive tools for users to connect with decentralized applications. Lava Network ensures high uptime and uninterrupted access to blockchain data, facilitating fast and reliable dApp connections.
In conjunction with the mainnet launch, Lava Network will reward node operators and users who contributed to the success of the network with the LAVA token. The token will serve as the governance token of the project, allowing holders to participate in community decisions.
The LAVA token has a total supply of 1 billion tokens, with various allocations for incentives, validators, ecosystem development, and early backers. The tokens distributed in the airdrop will not be subject to vesting, except for the reward reserve which unlocks in the 4th year.
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to participate in the upcoming airdrop as the deadline has passed. However, users can still qualify for future distributions by using Lava Network’s RPCs and buying the LAVA token on the market to stake and delegate to validators.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Lava Network project and future opportunities to participate in airdrops and token distributions.
